Return to the ‘Treasure Hunt’ groups for ‘Part 1: Language in Context’.
Keeping the course aims and objectives in mind, pick one text that the group found during the treasure hunt. Individually §Write a suggestion about what you would do with the text (lesson activityandformative assessment ) that would help prepare students to produce a written task. E-mail this to your ‘Group Scribe’ and Linda (10 minutes). Small group §Each person to share their idea with the group (15 minutes) Whole group Group spokesperson to share ONE of these ideas with the larger group and explain how this would help students to understand an aspect of ‘language in cultural context’ (15 minutes). If another group has made the suggestion, choose a different one.
On the Workshop Wiki
Group Scribe to upload a collation of the ideas ot the Workshop Wiki (or e-mail to Linda). Please attribute the ideas.
On the OCC (eventually!) Individuals to decide whether they wish to share their ideas on the OCC site for Lang and Lit (not yet available, but be aware of the 'Teacher Resource Exchange'.
